O u r s t o r y

Our history in wine goes back over 100 years, as our grandparents were cultivating vineyards and making wine in this place long before us. However, they made sure to pass on to us the love for the vine and the passion, so today we could say that wine flows in our blood.
We are the 3rd and 4th generation cultivating our privately owned, family vineyards in Velvento, Kozani, and our main concern is to pass on this tradition to our children.
You can visit our winery, just two kilometers from the entrance to the city of Velvento, to tour the vineyards and taste our wines together, exploring the secrets of tasting.

It's been years since our world has had its stone nest. The architecture of our place, at your service.

Our vineyards
On our plateau, water created its own kingdom. A kingdom that, over time, learned to grow vines.

Our character
We sealed the coolness of our land in glass bottles.
With every sip, we will take you on a journey to the places with running waters and waterfalls, where our wine grows and acquires its character.

The family
Our story has a name, a surname, a smile and is holding a glass of wine. Hers. The Kamkoutis family.

Our wines
Velvento honors its roots. And our wines will always be Western Macedonia, enclosed in glass.

As part of the agricultural industry, we fully depend on our surrounding, just as it depends on us. That’s why we grow our produce organically and sustainably. Over the past decades the carbon footprint of the winery has been positive, which is something we’re really proud of.
