Good wine is made in the vineyard. With personal work and experience, we care for and supervise our vineyards constantly in order to have healthy plants and low yields per acre. We respect Mother Earth and the natural environment while at the same time trying to honor the history of the region.
In 2004, we built our stone-built winery in Velvento. The traditions and "recipes" of the first generation guide us, and modern technologies help us make high-quality wines, which uniquely reflect the microclimate of our place and the special character of the varieties.
The result is what seals the effort. The completion and reward for us comes when we are ready to deliver to wine lovers, in Greece and abroad, the velvety taste, the unparalleled aroma and the unsurpassed texture of the wines that we created with dedication and passion.
The plain of Velvento extends between the Pierian Mountains and the artificial Lake Polyphytos. Due to the lake and the mountains that create different mesoclimates, it is ideal for the cultivation of many different varieties. According to archaeological findings, wine existed in Velvento since the 5th century BC. Subsequently, in Ottoman records, from the beginning of the 16th century AD, the taxation of wine is recorded throughout the Servia - Velvento region. The vine was one of the main crops in the dry lands of the region.

Our vineyard is located at an altitude of 400m between the foothills of Western Pieria and Lake Polyphytos. This location creates a special and rare mesoclimate as the high temperatures of the lake combined with the lower temperatures of the Pieria mountains create a permanent breeze that contributes to the qualitative ripening of the grapes, giving our wines a special character.
The exceptional climatic conditions, the diversity of the soil formed by old geological alluvium, with good drainage due to the slope, contribute to the production of high-quality PGI Velvento wines.
